On Tuesday, November 16 at 7:45 pm EST, the US-China Business Council (USCBC) and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Washington DC will co-host a webinar to give an update on investment and business opportunities in Hong Kong.

 

USCBC president Ambassador Craig Allen, will have a conversation with the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Paul Chan 陳茂波, about Hong Kong’s positioning, priorities, and prospects as the world’s premier International Financial Centre. Secretary Chan oversees policy formulation and implementation of financial, monetary, economic, trade and development as well as innovation and technology matters.

 

The discussion will be joined by the 2021 Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham HK), Jessica Bartlett, who will offer brief remarks about business operations on the ground, and Gene Ma, Head of China Research at the Institute of International Finance (IIF), who will comment on the issue from a global financial industry perspective.
